the great flapping sound of dollars soaring out of my wallet

‘Tis the season for giving, I know. It really ‘tis! But I just keep finding more and more things that I want, want, NEED for myself:

Oh, mushroom shelving! This would be the perfect resting spot for so many treasures. My deep, dark green authentic emu egg? My nesting bird snow globe, handmade by Heidi Meredith? My delicate ceramic pony, courtesy of the great Fontenrose family garage sale of 2006? Yes, yes! YES!

The pinestripe cardigan would be such a classy way to cover up any post-holiday arm- and gut-chub. Plus I’ve been craving a top in this print for years now — I actually tried ordering a different top in the same print once before, but somehow in the moments between filling my shopping cart and clicking “buy,” the last one sold. A sad story, I know. Kind of like the one about the soft baby forced to sleep in that scratchy manger.

What wall doesn’t crave its very own inexplicable ceramic dot? I know if I were a wall (which I kind of am; a brick house is like a wall, right?), this would top my Christmas list.

Pretty much anything from the littleoddforest makes me shiver with glee and itch with gimme. Cloud pins, stump wristlets, and mushroom coin purses? Oh buy!
